ABOUT ME
I’m Rachel, a photographer, videographer, skier, and blooper lover.
It was over 10 years ago I bought my first camera and started taking photos for fun. I fell in love with the combination of art and science, taking photos at university events and soon was known as one of the event photographers on campus.
After some traveling, skiing, taking my camera out in my backpack, did I finally land a role in New Zealand where I really dived into video and discovered a new love for storytelling!
I get bursts of energy from being creative and being surrounded by people who are excited to get creative with me. Some of my other creative outlets are graphic and web design. I also grew up playing piano and now play bass guitar which is my instrument of choice.

My Style
I would describe my approach to documenting your day as candid, authentic, a little bit of fly on the wall, with a mix of creative brainstorming and ways we can make you look frickin awesome! It’s going to be one of the most dressed up days of your life so why not have some fun with it!
I love video because it makes you feel something. It’s triggering and can take you back to good and sad times.

Recently my family sold the home I grew up in. It was the only home I’d ever known with 30 years of memories there. We had 20 camcorder tapes in storage dating back from before I was born, all the way through my teenage years. After finding a company that could convert them to digital files, I now have 20 x 90-minutes of memories I can watch anytime.
